Chris is a graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA).
His career has been largely in Theatre and Television. On the West End he appeared in Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story and Billy Elliot the Musical and later, Josie Rourke’s inaugural production as Artistic Director at The Donmar Warehouse, The Recruiting Officer. In September 2014, he appeared in the first ever live cinema broadcast of a West End Musical as Tony Elliot in Billy Elliot the Musical, directed by Stephen Daldry. In March 2016, he joined Sam Mendes’ West End production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, playing Mr. Bucket, at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Following that, he joined the cast of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical at The Aldwych Theatre where he played until recently. Notable regional plays include: The Blonde Bombshells of 1943 (Bolton Octagon/Hampstead), What the Butler Saw (Bolton Octagon), Lennon (Royal Court, Liverpool) and Sweet Charity (Oldham Coliseum).
TV, Film & Radio includes: Mary Queen of Scots (Working Title), Coronation Street (Granada), Moving On, The Rack Pack, A Very English Scandal (BBC) & Word of Mouth (BBC).
He has led several workshops for StageEd, Stage Coach and West End on Demand, bringing his knowledge and experience to schools and young people in and around London.
